Vietnam - Jan 2006
Yes, I have been slack with updating my blog! So this is for those who've hassled me about it - especially Nikita.
Around 8 of us from Singapore went to Vietnam during the first week of January. It has got to be one of my BEST trips yet. Maybe it was the company, maybe it was the place but mostly it was the feeling :) I was just really happy and smiley.
Luis, Silviu and me decided to do a spur of the moment late night tour of the city on biker taxis. We got tired for waiting for the others to show up at the bar. It had to be the craziest most fun thing I've done in awhile. We were taken to shady, dark, narrow alleys (did i spell that right) to buy wine. Knocked on random black doors and negotiated for wine. Then our biker taxi riders took us to all the different land marks in Hanoi and also to the night markets as they were setting up for the next day. It was just fun and going down all the little roads and hanging out with the locals was great!

Long time not talk - glad to see that you've enjoyed Vietnam! Next time you go to Halon Bay, go during the summer months. Then, you can go swimming in the waters and not get stun by jelly fish. :)
